Chicken Pot Pie

Well hello there, and welcome to my kitchen for some great comfort food. This evening we are going to make a chicken pot pie so grab that apron and we will begin.

Chicken Pot Pie

Ingredients needed:

2 cans of peas (drained)

2 cans of carrots (drained)

2 cans of  potatoes (drained)

2 cans of corn ( white or yellow) (drained)

2 cans of cream of chicken soup

1 can chicken broth

3 large boneless chicken breast (bite size) cooked

1 small white onion (chopped fine)

salt and pepper to taste

Ingredients for the crust

  • 1 cup of Bisquick
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 stick of  Land o Lakes butter (melted)


In a large bowl combine vegetables, cream of chicken, chicken broth, chopped onion, chicken already cooked, salt and pepper to taste. Stir until well blended.

Preheat oven 375 degrees.

How to make the crust:

In medium size bowl mix; bisquick, melted butter, and milk. Mix with spoon until well blended. I add the milk slowly.

Next, lightly grease a 13x9x2 baking dish. Pour the vegetable mixture into baking dish and then add the crust mixture on top. Cook for about 20 to 30 minutes until the crust is brown.

Note: This recipe makes a lot and will go far. I usually go ahead and divide mine into 2 small casserole dishes.
